Rinjani Trekking 3days/2night full trek (via senaru)

This climb is very suitable for testing physical strength where climbers will face a route that is quite difficult and tiring, but it will be rewarded with the beauty of Mount Rinjani from Senaru and you will see the very beautiful Segara Anak Lake, this beauty only exists on Mount Rinjani.

SUMMARY TREKKING ITINERARY

Day 1: Senaru - starting point - Senaru crater (camp)
  1. 07:30 am, after breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to park office for registration and get your entry ticket
  2. After complete, the trek will begin to the post 1 for 45 – 60 minutes
  3. The trek through thick tropical forest rich in flora, bird life and variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung
  4. Rest stops are taken along the way, and at post 2 Montong Satas shelter ( 1.500m )
  5. Depending on your preperance and weather conditions, the nights camp is made either in the forest at post 3 Mondokon Lolak (2.000m) after about five hours climb from Senaru, or continue the ascent for another couple of hours through grassy meadows Plawangan 1 Senaru crater rim at 2.641m
  6. The crater rim are sweeping views across the lake Segara Anak (2.000m) to the summit of Mt. Rinjani
  7. On a clear evening the Gili Islands, Bali and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west.
  8. Spend the night here and enjoy your sleep under the stars.
Day 2: Senaru crater (camp) - descent to Segara Anak Lake - Ascent to Sembalun crater rim (camp)
  1. Wake up and enjoying the sunrise and your breakfast
  2. Prepare to continue the trek down to the crater Segara Anak Lake for 2 hours
  3. The route down is quite steep and slippery, you have to be careful and don’t try to go far from your trekking guide and stay close with him or the porters
  4. Do not hesitated to ask help with your guide or porters
  5. A long the way down is a beautiful scenery in front of you, more down and more exciting to take a picture of the baby volcano
  6. When you arrive at the Segara Anak Lake, just take your time to recover yourself and enjoying the view, you can visit the natural hot spring just 10 minutes from the lake
  7. While you visit the hot spring, the other team will prepare your lunch which you can enjoy it after return
  8. After break and lunch, you will continue the trek ascent to the another crater rim (Sembalun Crater rim) for 3 hours
  9. Here you will spend the second night, make sure you sleep early as you will have to wake at 2am for ascent to the summit on the next morning
Day 3: Sembalun crater (camp) - Ascent to the summit - Descent to Sembalun villgae - Finish
  1. 02:00am, Your guide will wake you up and prepared a hot drink and a light breakfast while you have to prepare yourself before hike up to the summit
  2. 03:00am start the trek heading to the Summit (3726 m) for 3 hours 20 minutes
  3. The first stage is a moderate climb for 120 minutes, while the second stage is a fairly easy but long trek
  4. The last hour is very steep and difficult, there are many loose rock, and as you take two steps forward you will slip one step back
  5. From the Summit, you can see all of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa and Segara Anak Lake
  6. After few minutes, we will go down to the Sembalun crater rim (camp) where your second breakfast already prepared by the team
  7. After breakfast and enough rest, you will then return back down to Sembalun village. You will have some lunch on the way down at post 3 or 2
  8. Overall, it will take 5 hours walk from the crater (camp) and reach the Sembalun village normally at 3pm – 3:30pm
  9. When you arrive, your driver is already waiting to bring you to your next destination
